USAID funded Twiyubake-DREAMS Program executed by DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with Global Communities Rwanda distributed school materials to 5996 girls and sanitary pads to 7974 Adolescent Girls and Young Women from Nyarugenge District.
Materials distributed from 14th up to 16th July 2020 include notebooks, bags, pens, mathematical sets and other adequate school equipment to promote school attendances and pads were distributed on 17th July 2020 for menstrual health management. The budget worth Rwf 140 million was used for this activity.
Girls who received school materials expressed their appreciation for the support they get from DREAMS Program and assured to work hard in school so as to succeed. Their parents are grateful for the program’s support as it will curb the dropout among adolescent girls and young women.
