Emergency Response to Rutsiro and Rubavu Districts
DUHAMIC-ADRI in partnership with the Ministry Emergency Management (MINEMA), START FUND and Trocaire responded to the Emergency crises (natural disasters (flooding and landsliding) resulted from heavy rain which highly affected different Sectors of Rutsiro and Rubavu Districts in 2021 and 2023.

To respond to emergency for people affected with flooding resulted from heavy rain caused a lot of damage including landslides and flooded fields and homes

Key Achievements
-534 families were supported with unconditional cash transfer where each household with 50,000 Rwf /HH to rent houses as well as respond to the other basic needs and sum of 26,700,000 Rwf was distributed.
-534 families were supported with food and non-food stuff and hygiene and materials.
-2,035 persons were supported with plastic shoes to improve hygiene and health conditions
